Overview

Sethule Orphans’ Trust has two pre-schools: Emarika ECD Centre located in Matobo District ward 16 and Sethule Hope Centre in Umguza District ward 1. Pre-school is a crucial stage in a child’s development, laying the foundations for their future academic and social success. Pre-school education focuses on early learning and development, providing children with a structured and stimulating environment where they can acquire essential skills and knowledge. Sethule pre-schools prepare children for formal schooling by introducing them to basic concepts, such as letters, numbers, shapes, and colours. Sethule pre-schools aim to create a strong educational foundation for the rural children and they contribute to the overall well-being and prosperity of the community.

The organization runs two elementary learning centres called Emarika pre-school in Matopo and Sethule Hope Centre in Hope fountain. Our first pre-school, Emarika has been operating for fourteen years and Sethule has some of its first graduates of the preschool in universities todate. The centre teaches Early Childhood Development (ECD) A& B which refers to the physical, cognitive, linguistic, and socio-emotional development of a child from the prenatal stage up to age eight. Due to the long distances that the children walk and the alarming rates of poverty in the country, the pre-schoolsalso offer supplementary feeding to a total of 50 students per month offering a balanced diet based meal at every school.
